Arts education is being pushed to the margins with education increasingly viewed in narrow, instrumental terms. Dance courses in the UK are again focusing on dance technique, we feel this is at the expense of developing of creative capacity and critical thinking skills; which can be applied toward developing a creative practice in the arts and creative industries. This is incompatible with a future of rich creativity in the UK.

Our youth programme draws on our strengths as a choreography-focused organisation to engage young people in the exploration of different art forms and offers an intensive experience that gives them the confidence, skills and perspective to inform future choices which may or may not entail a professional career in the arts. YAAG enables these participants to establish a long term relationship with us, building new projects to support their artistic development.
