Our recent Hidden Needs research reports that the highest area of population growth in our county is people aged 65 & over, accounting for 17.3% of the population. With many of these people living alone, & with concerns over social isolation & the cold over the winter months, promoting independent living by supporting individuals to keep warm, safe & secure is paramount. Winter deaths from causes directly linked to the cold & poor living conditions in this, the 21st century, are preventable.

We aim to work to reduce the number of social isolated and vulnerable elderly people in Northamptonshire who die from the cold and poor living conditions to 0. Funds raised will be distributed directly to individuals as well as local organisations dedicated to helping the elderly and vulnerable within our county. From provision of ‘Keep Warm ‘ packs , to hot meals and social activities at local centres are but a few examples of ways funding raised will help towards solving this problem.
