Venture and Falcon holidays provide opportunities for children and young people of all faiths or none from across the UK to explore the Christian faith while enjoying action-packed residential breaks: - Ventures are packed with fun activities, Bible talks and small group discussion. - School Ventures are short residentials for primary school pupils at CofE schools. - Falcons provide additional nurture, care and support for the most disadvantaged young people.
Our project brings a range of sustainable, key development and enrichment outcomes to children and young people, including those which contribute towards ‘helping children to achieve more’, tackling the gender gap in well-being between girls and boys, esteem and peer pressures. Feedback from those attending is analysed and leader feedback is similarly measured both qualitatively and quantitatively. We provide subsidies for those least able to afford to attend, so that cost is never a barrier.
Over the years the work of CPAS Ventures has touched the lives of tens of thousands of children and young people. Local churches in every corner of the country have benefitted from this ministry.
The work of CPAS in overseeing nearly 100 children's and young people's camps every summer is an enormous contribution to the work of many local churches in reaching out to younger generations.
I thank God for this pilot and the response of the children, schools and churches to this initiative.
