Situation

HOST visits are provided free of charge by volunteer hosts, but HOST has to charge an administration fee. We are aware that the relatively low take-up by students from the Middle East is due to their inability to afford the application fee. We currently have no sponsors offering to support the applications of students from that part of the world.

Solution

If we had funding to cover the administrative costs, we would be able to offer all the benefits of a home visit to students from these specific countries. This would encourage more students to apply, and would enable both students and their hosts to act as ambassadors for all that is good in their respective cultures.
