    Situation

Cerebral Palsy affects muscle control, coordination and motor skills and is the most common form of physical disability in the world. In addition to a range of physical difficulties many children also report feelings of isolation and exclusion from mainstream activities which can impact on wellbeing, social skills and self-belief. Children with cerebral palsy are also more likely to encounter barriers that can prevent them from accessing sport which can make them feel excluded

    Solution

Our inclusive SportStart programme aims to address these disadvantages through enabling children and young people to engage in a range of adapted sporting opportunities that seek to maximise potential and improve skills and wellbeing. Through adapted sports we also hope to raise the aspirations of the child, their family and professionals by providing opportunities were children can thrive and achieve.
