This project will provide a new building for Restore's South Oxford Recovery Project, based at Fleet Meadow, Didcot. The project supports people with mental health problems to engage in horticulture, woodwork and ceramics in a supportive, but challenging, work-like environment.

Situation

Our project is trying to solve the lack of space we have at our South Oxford Recovery Group. With more space we will be able to help more people with mental illness. A new building will also help us lower our expenditure.

Solution

By relocating the building onto allotment land it will give us a lease for 30 years helping costs. With a new build we also hope to reduce the buildings running cost, reducing heating bills etc. It will be a larger building so we can help more people with mental illness. There will be additional outside WC for allotment users, confidential interview rooms and new sinks, units and worktop space in the two workshops.
