The Halle has no base for its choral, education & youth activities. Venues vary in cost & quality & are all over Greater Manchester. Much management time & effort is spent finding venues & surmounting logistical problems of rehearsals at different sites. Our residency in The Bridgewater Hall obliges us to use the auditorium for at least 128 days a year at full commercial rates. Extra rehearsal & education related activity in the Hall costs £5,000 per day.

St Peter's is a disused church in Ancoats, east Manchester. The Halle has a major but time-limited opportunity to deliver a newly refurbished facility & reclaim one of Manchester's most significant & beautifully preserved listed buildings. Having a dedicated, regular rehearsal venue will enhance both recruitment & retention for our ensembles. A dedicated resource will add considerably to the Halle's ability to deliver high quality education projects in an inspiring setting.
