There are 43 villages surrounding Snehalaya in Gwalior and Chambal region in Central India with no health care or sanitation facilities. Dr. Meena Sharma Memorial Rural Hospital serves these people there as well runs mobile clinics in slums and rural areas providing health education and treatment.

    Situation

    Most of the People in villages and slums are illiterate and poor, unaware of their rights or health care needs. We aim to provide health education to create awareness and work for intigrated rural development including sanitation, vaccination, safe drinking water, health care, education and income generating opportunities to make them self empowered and independent.

    Solution

    By making them aware of common health problems for its prevention, early diagnosis and treatment as well that for cleanliness, use of safe drinking water, vaccination, maternal care, health care of children including new borns and infants.
