Ballet Cymru has been in their permanent base in Newport, South Wales for the last two years. We need a new roof in order to protect our studio and equipment so that we can offer the best environment for our dancers and participants. We also want reduce our carbon footprint.

Situation
Ballet Cymru are thrilled to have our own premises over the last two years but despite several surveys undertaken before purchasing the premises, one aspect of the building has begun to let us down. It has now become obvious that the roof has a few, fairly substantial leaks. Significantly, these leaks have now started to cause damage to Ballet Cymru’s equipment and dance studio. The building boasts the best dance studio space in South East Wales and currently, generates £7k a year in hire fees
Solution
Ballet Cymru have employed a few companies to try and fix the leaks, without success. We have therefore asked for advice from many individuals and companies and they agree that the easiest and most effective solution would be to build another roof on top of the existing structure providing a new guaranteed watertight seal. This has been done successfully on many similar units. We would like this work to be undertaken urgently before more damage is done to the company’s assets within.
