We are trying to help with sustaining the support and activities we offer. We live in a socially disadvantaged community with low income, high unemployment. We want to ensure those who could benefit from our services are not restricted by income, so that we can provide support for all ages through the range of what we offer, which is either free, subsidised or affordable to those who need it most. By ensuring the cost is not prohibitive we will benefit more of our community.

It will help reduce costs, encourage participation and uptake in the support we can offer. Realistically if we charge the "actual" cost of the service we provide this would prevent those who need it most accessing activities, support, childcare, holiday and evening open access provision. The funding from Big Give Xmas Challenge would help cover the "hidden" costs of the activities and support which are part of the true cost of this and mean that costs are too high for them.
