    Situation

Haringey is the 4th most deprived borough in London & 34.4% of the residents is economically inactive.Having over 63,000 students; EAL and SEN ratio in the borough is comparatively higher than many other boroughs in London. A significant number of parents are entitled to get a housing benefit, majority of the children are on free school meals and the facilities they have are limited. Our project will strengthen academic abilities and broaden life-time opportunities of the attendants .

    Solution

We will open a new Axis centre in the borough so that children will spend a quality time at the weekends to improve their reading, writing, arithmetic, science & creative thinking skills. They will be tested by computarised assessment tools which will help us know their baseline levels. These levels will be evaluated by our qualified staff so the lessons will be designed according to specific needs of the learners. This way,a high quality & subsidised tuition will be provided for local students.
