We want to build a secondary school in Freetown, Sierra Leone. We're looking for £35,000 to complete the building. There is a drastic shortage of free, quality secondary education in Sierra Leone, and our model means that once it's built, the school will be run on a completely sustainable basis.

Situation
The project aims to alleviate the problem of the drastic underprovision of education, specifically secondary education, in Sierra Leone, where a large proportion of children do not attend school through lack of funds or lack of provision locally. We already run 5 primary schools and a nursery, and want to expand into secondary education to provide a route for our graduating primary school students to stay in education.
Solution
We provide the equipment, infrastructure and capacity to educate children at a secondary level, as well as continuous training for our teachers, to ensure the best quality. The Planting Promise model allows for sustainable operation as all the running costs of the school will be covered by the profits from our ethical Sierra Leonean businesses.
