Acquiring a brain injury as a result of accidents, traumas or stroke can happen to anyone. Survivors have to cope with many physical, mental and emotional impairments. We specialise in re-enablement. and bespoke care packages. We need to expand to meet increasing demand in Powys and Shropshire.

Situation
The charity has grown exponentially to meet demand for places both at the rehabilitation centre and for 24 hour domiciliary care. Taking clients from Shropshire, Telford & Powys, the centre is full to capacity. A larger building would enable our clients to access all our amenities and activities on one floor and we can offer services to clients with more complex cases. Our small wet rooms are currently located on the upper floors which is very difficult to access for our larger wheelchairs.
Solution
A new purpose built rehab centre has been designed for toilets and wet rooms on the ground floor, which are larger to fit in specialist equipment and changing tables. The larger communal area will improve the turning circle and freedom of movement for clients. More clients would be able to access the services at our centre and get involved in new activities. Additional space would be used for extra workshops, physiotherapy, counselling and craft rooms to suit the needs of the clients.
