'By morning glow and evening shade' is a new Gabrieli choral programme on the theme of morning and evening. The programme celebrates Byrd's 'Great Service' & includes 2 new commissions by Jonathan Dove. The programme will be performed by the acclaimed Gabrieli Consort in a tour of 4 UK venues.

British choral music is amongst the finest composed music in the world yet the repertoire is rarely celebrated as much as it should be in this country.
Solution
In the spirit of the original ‘Festival of Britain’ which took place on the South Bank in London in 1951 and was created to promote Britishness, Gabrieli’s project of the same name will promote some of Britain’s finest choral music from the renaissance era to the present day. The UK tour will increase opportunities for audiences to attend performances of this choral music presented in an innovative programme, superbly performed by the acclaimed Gabrieli Consort.
