    Situation

Larger operatic companies tend to be trapped in a limited repertory of popular operas. Smaller companies can take greater risk, and we have proved the artistic value of such a policy over many years. We also - so important - help solve the problems faced by outstanding young musicians in obtaining work - the UK is blessed with enormous talent but dwindling opportunities for performance: we provide a valuable platform and support. We hope to raise £10,000 in on-line donations towards our total.

    Solution

We provide a number of performance venues in Oxford, London (Wigmore Hall and St John's Smith Square), and rural venues in the south. We are also able to provide a high-profile performing platform at the prestigious Buxton Festival, following our fourth invitation to perform there. We are engaging a number of exceptional young musicians and also providing other means by which local people can engage with opera, often through direct involvement.
