Situation
Larger operatic companies tend to be trapped in limited repertoire of popular and well-worn operas. As a small flexible company we can take greater risk, and have proved the artistic value of such policy over many years. We also help solve the problems faced by many highly talented young musicians whose employment may be limited through the dwindling opportunities which recession has created. High quality opera tends to carry hefty ticket prices: we offer excellent quality at much lower cost.
Solution
We provide challenging and engaging performance opportunities, with a range of urban and rural venues in London and southern counties. We will engage a number of outstanding young musicians, identifying those whom we expect to move on to high profile (inter)national careers. We also provide valuable opportunities for volunteers helping back-stage and front-of-house to discover, often for the first time, the amazing experience of opera.
