Uk Friends Of Healing Focus Orphanage Centre

New classroom building for nursery children

UKHF is raising funds to replace the dilapidated wooden classrooms with a brick building. Ugandan Authorities require that all school buildings be made of brick. If not, their licence will be revoked and the school closed down.

Situation

Securing funds for the building of new classrooms means young children will be able to continue their education in a healthy and protected environment. Healing Focus School will continue its mission to educate, feed and safeguard the 250 orphan children of Busiiro. The Vocational Training Centre, located on the school grounds, will maintain its sewing and computer classes offered not only to students unable to continue their secondary education, but also to members of the community.

Solution

The Ugandan Education Authorities have shut down over 1,000 schools across the country which have not abided by their strict regulations. In order to ensure the education and wellbeing of the children at Healing Focus School, UKHF and HF work together to comply with government requirements within specified timeframes. The building of the nursery classrooms in brick is a prerequisite which must be implemented in order to keep the school running.
