The Monteverdi Vespers are not performed very frequently. There are no professional groups based in Manchester to bring this music to a local audience. There is a need to raise awareness of the work to promote better understanding of One of Italy's greatest composers.

The project will bring further illumination and enjoyment to the many people worldwide who follow world-class choir The Sixteen, but cannot necessarily attend live concerts or live where The Sixteen tours. A proportion of the money raised will be invested in wider-reaching marketing, thereby broadening the reach.
