The Sixteen is a world class vocal ensemble - it will be performing Bach's Lutheran Masses with its orchestra in 2013 at the King's Place Venue in London on 15th, 16th and 18th May. This is one of Bach's less performed works and deserves a wider audience and increased recognition.

    Situation

The Lutheran masses are rarely performed and have yet to be performed by a choir like the Sixteen. There is a need to raise awareness of the work to promote better understand of Bach and his output. Prior to the 2 CD recording of this work planned for release in Autumn 2013, there is a need to create interest and a focus on Bach's Lutheran Masses in the the public and media.

    Solution

The Sixteen specialises in Baroque choral works and can give truly world class performances that will showcase this work at its very best. The 3 concerts will allow audiences to gain a fuller appreciation of the breadth and depth of Bach's particular genius. The three concerts in London will attract interest from the music media and the reviews will stimulate wider attention and expectations prior to the release of the CD - thereby increasing dissemination.
