Orchestra Unwrapped intends to break down any barriers prohibiting the enjoyment of, and engagement with, classical music. The programme reaches thousands of children who are unlikely to otherwise have the opportunity to hear a professional symphony orchestra.

Orchestra Unwrapped in 2016 will continue to build on the success the programme has achieved over the past five years and provide an age-appropriate introduction to the musicians, instruments and repertoire of the orchestra. Offering children, many from disadvantaged backgrounds, access to high quality live music education through an approachable but dynamic programme of interactive schools concerts, bespoke cross-curricular educational materials for the classroom, teacher training.
