Situation
Spear seeks to address the problems associated with worklessness in young people between the ages of 16 and 24. Today, more than one in five 16-24 year olds in the UK are not in education, employment or training with one in six children growing up in a household where no one works . This is creating a culture of worklessness and benefits dependency that is compromising the physical, mental, emotional and economic wellbeing of a significicant proportion of this generation.
Solution
The interactive course addresses the most common causes of underachievement such as the absence of motivation and life skills through coaching; job search training; offering an accredited customer service qualification; generating fresh employment opportunities; and providing personal and trustworthy advice, guidance and ongoing support.
