Bereavement can be one of the most painful experiences we face. As a hospice we offer specialist care and support to bereaved families. We are looking for funding to expand our volunteer bereavement support team by providing training and ongoing support, purchase materials and cover travel expenses.

Situation
The demand for our services is increasing as we reach out to more people at the end of their life, in addition we are expanding into a new geographical area, so there are more bereaved families that need our help. We would also like to increase the range of different types of support available to families.
Solution
Funding will enable us to cover the cost of training and providing on going support for more bereavement support volunteers. It will also allow us to provide them with materials such as booklets and memory boxes for the families to keep treasured possessions and cover travel expenses as they reach families in their own homes.
