The Mind Infoline is a helpline for anyone with a mental health problem and their loved ones. Often it offers a lifeline for people trying to overcome mental health problems. But we’re struggling to keep up with increasing calls and we need your help to keep the Infoline running over Christmas.

    Situation

Each week in the UK, tragically about 84 people take their life and 38,000 people see their doctor about a mental health problem. The recession and rising levels of debt and unemployment has meant the Infoline has seen an 18% surge in calls compared to last year. People need Mind now more than ever, especially over Christmas when feelings of isolation and money worries can peak. The Mind Infoline is vital. If someone picks up the phone and can’t get through, they may never call again.

    Solution

The Mind Infoline is a way we can reach people in need throughout the year and at difficult times, like over Christmas. By providing mental health advice and support over the phone or via email, thousands of people take steps to recover from a mental health problem, which in some cases could mean the difference between life and death. We need the kindness of our supporters to meet the demand for the Infoline and make sure anyone who calls can look forward to a brighter future.
