Many children, especially those in deprived areas, have very little exposure to live music. Fewer children are now learning musical instruments and parents are often not aware of just how beneficial music can be to a child's development. Young people who are skilled amateur musicians very rarely have the opportunity to work alongside professional musicians to develop their talent and gain skills which will help them in their future performances and career.

Bandwagon will bring amazing live music into classrooms and playgrounds, and allow children to experience at first hand the passion, inspiration and enjoyment that live music can bring. This experience will encourage them to develop an interest in music and in learning to play an instrument. For the young performing musicians, Bandwagon is an opportunity to develop skills in improvisation, leadership and innovative performance under the guidance of experienced musicians.
